In Order to Lead You First Have to Follow

I decided today to add a new Category to my blog to highlight some of the important people who have helped to guide me on my wonderful journey.  I think it is very fitting to start with one of the great leaders who has helped me to get started with this blog and in the world of Social Media.

I recently attended a course called Tribe Mastermind Intensive 1.0.  Sometimes my fellow tribe mates and I refer to the course as T.M.I., which is generally the acronym for Too Much Information. My problem before this course was Too Much Information… Too much information, from too many sources, and I didn’t know where to start or who to listen to.  It didn’t take me long to realize that this course was the best solution for that problem, and I owe it to our wonderful Tribe leaders. Nick Logan, Ken Pickard, Jon Alfredsson, Michael Feil, Kary Rogney, and Eric Goldstein.  If you want to hear more about my experience,  read my post about the power of Tribe Syndication.  https://melissawrightjourney.com/the-power-of-tribe-syndication/

Today I want to introduce you to Kary Rogney.  Kary started the course of teaching us all how to get our blogs started even if we didn’t even have a domain name yet.  Kary has a great way of simplifying the process and making even the technical stuff seem much less daunting.

Kary started his blog in August 2009 and has had tremendous success on his blog in his first 6 months.  The reason that Kary has had so much success is because he offers tons of valuable content on his blog and because he truly understands the concept of Tribe Syndication and finding a group of like minded people who all work to make the entire Tribe successful.

Check out what Kary posted on his blog today.  This is the perfect testament to the great content that Kary provides and the great insight that he has gained as a leader.  Kary’s post is titled The Attitudes and Actions of Successful Entrepreneurs. In this post Kary gives a list of 11 Attitudes that one must have to be successful as an entrepreneur and the actions that are most supportive of those attitudes.

  3. Right on Melissa. Kary and the guys are gurus at making the wide world of blogging (wwob) easy to understand. Then to take it up a notch into syndication through the social networks, certainly over the top. Great share on our tribe leaders.

      Hey Eric!

You are more than welcome for the mention. You are the reason that I found this TRIBE in the first place. I will always be grateful that you were out there setting a great example and spreading the word when I was in desperate search for some guidance!

  8. Right on Melissa. “I know that I do NOT know”

Several months back, Kary Rogney called me out of the blue to ask for some online advice. About 6 months past, and we reconnected. Now I’m learning from him.

I’m picking up some great things from you as well. You have taken massive action, and it shows….

  9. Great post. I’m always looking for great blogs and I really like yours.

  10. Couldn’t agree with you more, Great post Melissa

…WAY too much info to the point of overwhelm, is how it felt at times, for me.

But, if you can get in with the right group of people, like some of those you’ve mentioned… it can make a world of difference to your whole outlook.

I’ve followed Katie Freiling’s blog which led me to Kary Rogney, Eric Goldstein and their Tribe… what a great concept!

    • Hey Christopher! I really enjoyed meeting you last Tuesday! You definitely followed the right people to the right place! I am really looking forward to getting to know you better!

  11. Hi Melissa,

I know exactly what you are talking about and it’s true even I had the T.M.I. followed too many things in just a short time..

Also I am very happy that I met Kary and the Tribe, with you guys marketing become even better and enjoyable!

Thanks for being such a good friend

  12. Mellisa you hit the nail on the head. We can absolutely get lost in TMI…I’m a case in point. By settling on one or two sources and following them, you can make a lot better progress.

It is so good that you are calling out your mentors so others can see and go to them as well.

    Thanks,
