Get your Priorities Straight

It’s Take Action Tuesday again so today we’re going to talk about a system to help you to accomplish your top priorities.

In the picture you can see my To-Do List.

I have written each of the things that I would like to get accomplished on a sticky note.  And on the left side I have selected the 5 things that I definitely plan to get accomplished myself today.  There are the things that I have decided are most important for me to handle.  So for today these are the only things that I will consider to be on my To-Do List.

Along the top I have included some things that are not necessarily things for me to do, but things that I want to remember like “Put Myself First” and “Setting Boundaries”.  So these are things that I believe will help me to enjoy my work to the fullest.

On the right side is where I put the bulk of the things I would like to accomplish.  These items though are not on my To-Do list.

The right side is the To-Do list for my Universal Team.  I am tasking the Universe to assemble the right people and circumstances to help me to easily and effortlessly accomplish or manifest all of the items on the right side.

How would you like to have the Universe doing most of the work for most of the things on your To-Do List?  Well, all you have to do is ask!

What I love about this system is that it is so easy to add and remove items.  Each day as priorities change, you can change what you want to be on your list for the day and what you want to assign to your Universal Team.

But most of all, it prevents me from feeling completely overwhelmed by my To-Do List!

I would love to hear what you think of my system!

  1. You know, I really like this system! Mainly because it is easy to move things around and re-prioritize at will. I have so many scratched up, funky, hard to read lists that have been through many re-writes and are now useless. So then I have to start over and the cycle goes on. It is much harder to categorize a straight list so I really like the idea of using the sticky notes. Thanks so much for sharing!

I’m glad you found it useful Carin! Rewriting To-Do lists is one of the things that I was trying to avoid with this system!

  2. That does look like a great system, especially for visually oriented people and those who want/need to be organized in a linear way. Definitely something to utilize when productivity and efficiency are the order of the day.

I’m pretty sure that both the board and post its would attract the not so tender mercies of my four yo.

    Blessings,
    Kina
